Development and Testing Facilities

All Dream Turf products are currently tested at the Greenville Country Club (GCC) in Greenville, Ohio. The grounds keeping staff use Dream Turf products to perform daily maintenance and upkeep on the facilities at GCC. Products are closely monitored and re-worked until they meet the rigid quality standards required of Dream Turf.

"We have used the Sweep-N-Fill II in several ways on our Miniverde Ultradwarf Greens. The first time I used it was immediately after an aeration and we used the brush to fill the holes with topdressing sand. It works better than any other brush I have tried for getting the holes filled with sand.

We also used the brush last summer to stand up the leaf blades before mowing. We would run the brush so that it turned opposite of the predominate grain to stand everything up, then we would back track mow with either groomers or rotating brushes engaged - this was one way to reduce grain on the greens.

Where we get the most benefit from the Sweep-N-Fill II is when we lightly vertical mow the greens with Triplex Units. Instead of using buckets to collect the material as we verticut, we let the material go on the greens' surfaces. Because of the amount of sand topdressing we do, there is alot of sand brought to the surface with the organic material removed. Once the organic material has dried, we run the Sweep-N-Fill II across the green into the adjacent collar and rough and then lift the brush. The brush sweeps the sand we lifted right back into the vertical mowing slits, while sweeping the organic debris to the end of the green for removal. It is amazing how well this has worked for us, and the labor savings are huge. I'm sure we will continue to find more and more uses for the Sweep-N-Fill II, and couldn't be happier with the results that we have achieved up to this point."

"We have only owned our Sweep-N-Fill for a couple of months, but have already seen what it can do. On our Poa annua greens, complete recovery after core aerating with 3/8” quadritines and sand topdressing has traditionally taken about 12 days. The use of the Sweep-N-Fill gets our mowers back on the greens sooner and to recovery in 8 to 9 days. The members definitely appreciate having their greens back in good condition sooner.

With Poa annua greens, we also have problems with seed head production in the Spring and Fall. Use of the Sweep-N-Fill and its less abrasive “flicking” action will reduce the amount of times verticutters and groomers are required.     

We also saw remarkable results with the Sweep-N-Fill after aeration and heavy topdressing on tees and approaches. We were mowing both of these areas picking up very little sand two days after topdressing. Our mechanic was quite pleased with the results.

Simple, very efficient. Can be used to stand up runners. Therefore, it can be used for multiple tasks. And, it is extremely easy to train users. I have never seen anything that places the sand into the crown of the grass plant like the Sweep-N-Fill. It lifts the grass blades and works the sand right in. This is the best top dressing brush that I have used.
